6:30 pm - 8:00 pmOnline workshop(3 PDPs) What stories do we tell to help children cope? In this two-part workshop we will consider how we can use picture books to support social emotional learning. Participants will explore books that address various SEL competencies,including books that can help young readers navigate intense emotions and challenging situations. Participants will consider how these books reflect their experiences inside and outside of the classroom, and learn emotionally responsive practices for engaging children in shared reading experiences.
Note: This is a 2-day online session, taking place July 12th and July 19th from 6:30-8:00 pm.
