Of all the battles of all time, the battle of Gettysburg stands out as one of the most powerful. It was a battle that came out of nowhere. A group of Southern soldiers looking for shoes, but ending up with a scrap instead--a scrap that turned into a fight, turned into a skirmish, turned into a battle that no American has ever forgotten. Brother fought brother, Generals who knew each other faced one another in a wheat field that would forever be known as the place where thousands were courageous enough to battle on another to the last man.
